Important Guidelines for Participants

To ensure the event is safe and enjoyable for all, please take a moment to review the parade guidelines:

  • Registration closes at 8:00 AM on July 2, 2025, or when capacity is reached. No walk-ups allowed.

  • Each group or organization must register only one float.

  • Vehicles must be decorated to participate.

  • Car clubs are limited to three vehicles, and each must be decorated.

  • Absolutely no alcohol, confetti, fireworks, or replica handguns on floats.

  • Candy and giveaways must be handed out by walkers—no throwing from floats.

  • Please inform organizers if your float includes live animals or loud sounds.

  • Drivers must be courteous, sober, and experienced.

  • Floats cannot exceed 17 feet in height.

  • Water guns, water balloons, and snow-throwing are prohibited.

  • Maintain a slow and steady pace (1–3 mph) with a safe distance between entries.

Participants on foot may return via the Blue River Bike Path (off South Park Ave.) after the parade. Float adjustments can be made at the west side of the F Lot Bus Stop. Please avoid stopping or parking on South Park Avenue.

Tips for Spectators

Planning to enjoy the parade as a spectator? Main Street between French and Park Avenue will be closed starting at 6:00 AM. Parking will be limited, so consider walking, biking, or taking the Breckenridge Free Ride. Try to be in place by 9:30 AM to catch every moment of the festivities.

There’s truly nothing like a summer morning in Breckenridge filled with community spirit, mountain views, and a sea of red, white, and blue.
