Summer in the Rockies is right around the corner, and there’s no better way to soak up the sunshine than a day out on Dillon Reservoir with the Frisco Bay Marina as your launchpad. Nestled at the end of Frisco’s charming Main Street, this high-altitude haven is more than just a marina — it’s your gateway to lake life, mountain town charm, and unforgettable adventures.

Mark Your Calendar: Marina Opens May 23, 2025

The Frisco Bay Marina officially opens for the 2025 boating season on Friday, May 23. If you’re dreaming of cruising the alpine waters or casting a line under bluebird skies, now’s the time to plan ahead — rental reservations are open and booking fast.

Book online or call the Marina directly at 970-668-4334 to reserve your favorite watercraft.

Adventures Await: Rentals & Activities

No boat? No problem. The Frisco Bay Marina has everything you need to make the most of your time on the reservoir. Available rentals include:

  • Pontoon and fishing boats

  • Kayaks and canoes

  • Stand-up paddleboards (SUPs)

  • Fishing poles and gear

Whether you're paddling solo or bringing the whole crew, there’s something for every kind of water lover. On land, enjoy the sandy beach, grab a bite at waterside dining spots, or relax at Marina Park, where the playground makes it a perfect stop for families.

Know Before You Go

Here are a few tips to help your marina experience go smoothly:

1. Reservations Are a Must
Frisco is known for spontaneous adventures, but boating without a reservation? Risky. Make sure you lock in your rental ahead of time to avoid disappointment.

2. No Swimming or Water Skiing
Dillon Reservoir may look inviting, but it's strictly no swimming due to cold temperatures and local regulations. The best way to enjoy the water? Stay on top of it — in a boat, kayak, or SUP.

3. Fill Out Your Waivers Early
Save time at check-in by completing your 2025 Marina Waiver in advance. All participants over 18 need to sign, and minors must be added by a parent or guardian.

Parking at the Marina: What You Need to Know
